How to Stop Auto-Playing Videos in Chrome and Firefox

Hello guys,I think most of us we can agree that auto-playing videos are a big problem.  So, if you don’t want to play automatically videos on any website, I will show you the steps needed to prevent videos from auto-playing in both the Chrome and Firefox browsers.


Stop Auto-Playing Videos in Chrome :

1. Open your chrome browser and type in the address bar this - chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy and press the enter button.


2. After press the enter button a window comes like this.You should see AutoPlay Policy at the top.Go to the drop down menu left click on it and select the  Document user activation  is required  

3.After select   Document user activation  is required   then you need to re-start your chrome  browser for stop auto-playing video in chrome and you will do it selecting relaunch button in the lower right.



How to Stop Auto-Playing Videos in Firefox :

1. Open your firefox browser and type in the address bar this - about:config?filter=autoplay  and press the enter button.

2.After press the enter button a window comes like this and it will show a warning but don't worry press the enter button button and  a new window comes like this



3.in here we will see in the first row media.autoplay.enabled value is true, it's means auto play video is allowed in the firefox. Double clicking in this row and it will switch true to false.


3.when media.autoplay.enabled value comes to false, it's mean's autoplay video is disabled in your firefox.You don't need to restart firefox .

This is the easy way for the Stop Auto-Playing Videos in Chrome and Firefox.
